Prospero Quick Start Training - Report Design

This six hour hands-on training course focuses on rapid report creation to learn MSX Group Prospero. The class, based on the Prospero Essentials I – Report Design curriculum, is designed to provide users with a strong product foundation, working through multiple report exercises to create new financial reports quickly and easily. In addition, attendees will become comfortable navigating within Prospero as well as working with building blocks such as line, column and tree definitions. Taught from a best practices perspective, this class provides everything a new user needs to become confident and competent creating reports in Prospero.

This Prospero training course is ideal for:

  • Experienced financial reporting professionals
  • Microsoft FRx users

This course is offered either as a virtual training course or onsite. Attendees will receive a training manual and a logon to a Prospero Training instance. (The attendee will install the client application locally.) An MSX Group Certified Instructor will lead the class through the manual and classes will be run using GoTo Meeting to allow attendees to view the instructor’s screen. The course can be either instructor-led or may be a self-directed exercise following a brief course orientation. At the completion of this class, attendees can submit a certificate of completion for 5 hours of CPE credit.

Prospero Quick Start Training - Budgeting

This six hour hands-on training course focuses on rapid budget creation to learn MSX Group Prospero. The class is designed to provide users with a product overview (including application navigation and options) while working with Prospero’s reusable “building blocks” to create a new budget and budget data-based report. In addition to input of budget data, attendees will become comfortable working with advanced budgeting concepts such as capital, Human Resources, overrides, and line item detail. Taught from a best practices perspective, this class provides a comprehensive overview for the new user to become confident working with Prospero Budgeting.

This Prospero training course is ideal for:

  • Experienced financial analysis professionals
  • Microsoft Forecaster users

When combined with your Prospero implementation, QST training is one day followed by four days of reporting and/or budgeting implementation and design. This course is offered either as a virtual training course or onsite. Attendees will receive a training manual and logon to a Prospero Training instance. (The attendee will install the client application locally.) An MSX Group Certified Instructor will lead the class through the manual and classes will be run using GoTo Meeting to allow attendees to view the instructor’s screen and ask questions. The course can also be a self-directed exercise following a brief course orientation. At completion attendees can request a certificate of completion for 5 hours of CPE credit.

Prospero Essentials I - Report Design

This two day hands-on training course covers the Prospero report design skills required to create, maintain and distribute presentation quality financial reports. This course covers creation of the fundamental financial reports such as trial balance reports, balance sheets, cash flow and income statement reports, following best practices. We will go into detail on how to create and use Prospero building block structures (line, column and tree definitions). Important tips and tricks will be covered such as application options and navigation, calculations, data integration and other topics to increase accuracy, reduce maintenance, and speed up the report creation process. Students will receive a certificate of completion that can be submitted for 10 hours of CPE credit.
